Computer Access
Perry Carnegie Library has a total of ten computers for public use; seven for adults and three for children.
All library computers have high speed internet access.
The adult personal computers are loaded with the Microsoft Office
suite.
The children's computers are loaded with educational games and are protected
by CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act).
Internet Usage
ALL Internet-capable computers are locked down with the SonicWALL content filtering system. Among other things, this system restricts access to inappropriate websites, as well as popular social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook.
Content filtering is done in accordance with relevant legislation for the protection of all library users.
Perry Carnegie Library cardholders must have a signed Internet Use Agreement on file in the library to be able to use the Internet.
