Programs for Kids
Reading is Fundamental (RIF)
Founded in 1966, Reading is Fundamental is the oldest and largest children's and family nonprofit literacy organization in the United States. RIF prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to children through the 6th grade. Home schooled children may also participate in this program by contacting the library.
Scheduling Storytime will follow the Perry School System calendar.
No programs during school holidays or school vacation. Programs will be cancelled if Perry Schools are closed for inclement weather or if the City of Perry closes the library due to unforeseen circumstances.
Please check PIN and Facebook for closing information or call the library 580-336-7300.
Storytime for Children
Make Storytime enjoyable for all–
- Stay with your child during the program.
- Arrive a few minutes early to get into the mode.
- Remove children who become disruptive.
- Help your child understand that we’ll be reading books, singing songs and dancing around.
- Bring that library card because after all the fun is a great time to check out books! If you do not have one, we will be happy to make one.
Photo Policy
We often take pictures at library events to use in library publicity materials and on our website. If you do not want us to use a picture of you or your child, please tell a librarian prior to the event.
