Our Mission

Perry Carnegie Library exists to provide free library service to all lawful residents of Noble County, Oklahoma.

Materials such as magazines, newspapers, and pamphlets, as well as fiction, non-fiction, reference books, and audio-visual materials will be provided. The library provides Internet access both through desktop and wireless connections. Other current and emerging technologies will be provided as funding permits. Community needs in the area of library service will be assessed periodically, and materials and programs will be provided to meet such needs.

The library will serve as a source of reliable information. Books and related educational, informative, and recreational materials will be assembled, preserved, and administered in collections organized under the Dewey Decimal System. Library staff will assist any and all patrons in locating materials and achieving their information needs.

The library will stock popular and bestselling items in a variety of formats, as well as classic literature and audio-visual entertainment.

The library will work to balance its services to adults, young adults, and children. Although these groups have different information needs, we will serve them all with the same commitment.

Library collections will be kept up to date through the purchase of current materials and the discarding of outdated and/or obsolete materials.

The library will cooperate with school libraries, but will not attempt to perform their functions.
