Online Resources for Onsite Access

Ancestry (Library Edition) - This valuable genealogy research tool is sponsored by the Exchange Bank and Trust Co. It includes records from the U. S. Online Resources for Remote Access

While all of these sites are available to Perry Carnegie Library cardholders, some require a "user id" and "password." Cardholders may obtain the required log-in information by visiting the library service desk.


Ask a Librarian is web-based resource that helps deliver reference services via e-mail and live help. It is brought to you by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the QuestionPoint Oklahoma consortium.

Oklahoma Digital Prairie is your gateway to online services and resources that help you find books, articles, web content and other useful information. This service of the Oklahoma Library Technology Network allows you to have remote access to the following electronic references.

Databases:

Sirs Discoverer - An interactive reference tool for the young reader designed to make learning fun and intuitive. The program -- especially designed for K-8 students -- helps teach research, writing, and language and computer skills. (No log-in required.)

EBSCO Host - Comprehensive online collections of full text articles, searchable databases and a kids-oriented service called "Searchosaurus".

Books In Print - A professional bibliographic database with more than 5.2 million in-print, out-of-print, forthcoming, book, audio book and video titles. Also contains over 800,000 full-text reviews in their entirety. (Some of this site is available without logging-in.)

Catalogs:

Oklahoma Department of Libraries Catalog - An online "card catalog" of all ODL's holdings—including government documents. (No log-in required.)

Statewide Catalog - Holds approximately three million records from more than 500 Oklahoma libraries. Anyone can browse the catalog to find out what's available through any of Oklahoma's libraries. (No log-in required.)

FirstSearch / WorldCat - The world's most comprehensive bibliography, representing many languages. Includes holdings information from the world's libraries.


NetLibrary - Source for eBooks, eJournals, audiobooks, and reference resources. Books can be checked out for one week. NetLibrary is available onsite. In addition, you can have your own free account to use NetLibrary from home, work, school, or anywhere! Just access NetLibrary from one of the library's computers and click "Create Account."

Learning Express Library - Provides a completely interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help you succeed on academic and licensing tests. You'll get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results.
